DDF supported the screening of the “Inside War” documentary in Yerevan
On March 27 the “Inside War” documentary featuring the story of the Russian-Ukrainian war was screened in Yerevan with support of the Democracy Development Foundation and in cooperation with “Aliq Media Armenia“.
Tigran Paskevichyan, director and screenwriter, who produced the movie, spent two weeks with the Factum Center in Kharkov, Dnepr, Donetsk provinces of Ukraine and its capital Kiev filming and documenting the war. The documentary producers’ objective was to show the war from the inside by presenting the commitment of ordinary citizens and their belief that through joint efforts the victory will be achieved. The movie features five episodes of volunteer actions and one story portraying the consequences of war.
Viktor Lobach, Charge d’Affaires ad interim of Ukraine, staff of the Ukrainian Embassy, ambassadors accredited in Armenia, journalists, representatives of civil society, prominent cultural figures attended the movie screening at the Cinema House.
Naira Sultanyan, Director of the Democracy Development Foundation, noted: “The Democracy Development Foundation is a human rights organization with vast experience in documenting war crimes. We try to provide legal assistance to victims of wars and survivor families. Journalists and directors compliment our legal work by documenting wars, helping us to visualize human sufferings and reconfirm that the determination to fight for human freedom is unbreakable. With this belief we have supported the screening of this documentary.”
